Ada Jane Couch

Ada Jane Couch, 76, of Knightstown, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at her residence. She was born February 17, 1940 in Portland, Oregon, a daughter of the late Ralph Oren and Mary Ellen (Hattan) Dillon.

Ada graduated from High School in Vail, Oregon. She was manager at the Dollar General Store in Knightstown and New Castle. After retirement she worked at Meijer on East Washington St. in Indianapolis. Ada loved horses and had horses most of her life. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, loved the outdoors and all animals. She also was an avid bowler and coached softball.

She is survived by four children, Donald (Tammy) Couch of Clearwater, FL, Anthony Couch of Knightstown, Teresa Couch (Kellie Graham) of Knightstown and Elvis (Lindsay) Couch of Knightstown; three grandchildren, Curtis Couch of KS, Addie and Marcus Couch both of Knightstown; two great grandchildren, Easton and Keegan Watt; one sister, Ruth Smith of Long Creek, OR; a brother, Dwight Dillon of Milwaukee, OR; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Couch; son, Curtis Couch; and a brother, Raymond Dillon.

Services will be at 10:30 AM Monday, February 20, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 PM Sunday.
