Betty J. "Peggy" Bottoms

Betty J. “Peggy” Bottoms, 74, of Springport, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born December 26, 1940 in Ferguson, Kentucky to the late Warren G. and Madonna (Hinkle) Cope.

A member of Whittier Lane Baptist Church, she was an avid bowler and also enjoyed golfing. She loved spending time with her family and was a fan of UK Basketball.

Survivors include four children, Monte (Suzzann) Bottoms of New Castle, Glenda Jones of New Castle, Jackie Byers (companion, Jerry Williams) of New Castle and Peggy (Jay) Anderson of Pendleton; grandchildren, Sarah Reece, Shawn, Megan, Zach and Paige Bottoms, Jessica Weaver, Josh Jones and Trace Byers; great grandchildren, Jordyn Weaver, Bayden Jones, Hunter Ankrom, Jameson “Lincoln” Anderson, Wyatt and Emma Anderson; brother, Vernon (Shirley) Cope; sister, Jackie (Darren) Brown; several special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Bottoms in 2012; daughter, Sheryl Lynn Bottoms; great granddaughter, Kienan Lynn Showalter.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Steve Arnett officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
