Betty J. (Ragan) Cory, 84, of New Castle, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Heritage House of New Castle. She was born March 25, 1932 in Spiceland, a daughter of the late Rom L. and Mary M. (Williams) Ragan.
Betty enjoyed watching all sports and enjoyed helping people. She worked over 19 years at the Payne Village Laundro-Mat.
She is survived by a sister, Lois June (Clifton Leroy) Swim of Del City, OK; also several nieces and nephews. Special friends, Vicki and David Loy of New Castle; and Linda Guffey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Ernie” Cory; seven brothers, Dale, Rom, Don, Richard, Jimmy, Jackie and Bobby Ragan; three sisters, Wilma McLain, Joyce Reed, and Edith Janice Provence.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2017 Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Bobby Slagle officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
