Bonnie Ellington

Bonnie Ellington, 89, of New Castle passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 8, 1927 in Albany, Kentucky to the late Leslie and Pearl Ferrell.

Bonnie retired from the bakery at the New Castle State Hospital. She was an avid doll collector and attended First Assembly of God.

She is survived by her children, Linda Ellington and John (Debra) Ellington both of New Castle; grandchildren, Rob (Debbie) Ellington, Jennifer Goode, Tara Ellington, Jamie Ellington (fiancé, Bobby); great grandchildren, Erica, Dustin, Jonathon, Brandon, Isabelle, Brody, Piper, Avery; 2 great grandchildren; a sister in law, Betty Crabtree and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Deward Ellington and two siblings, Kate and Edna.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Steve Gallaway officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
