Brian Lee Shelton, 37, of Huntington, formerly of Knightstown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 23, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital from cardiac arrest, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born January 2, 1980 in New Castle a son of Donald Lee and Cassandra S. (Lingerfelt) Shelton.
Brian was self employed in internet sales. He was an avid weather buff and enjoyed storm chasing in his younger years. He loved hunting Indian artifacts, attending auctions and garage sales. Brian was an outdoorsman and enjoyed mushroom hunting, gardening and loved helping on the homestead with the farm animals.
He is survived by his life partner, Amy Tackett of Huntington; parents, Don and Sandy Shelton of Knightstown; a brother, Josh Shelton of Knightstown; his special little girl, Taylor Swaim of Bluffton; maternal grandmother, Martha Hite of New Castle; uncle, Rick Lingerfelt of Frankfort; cousins, Derek and Cody Lingerfelt of Waldron and Stacy Cantwell of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Robert and Joan Shelton; maternal grandfather, Stan Lingerfelt; step grandfather, Jim Hite; uncle, Don Turner.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Larry Delon officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
