Carla Mae Johnson, 53, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at her residence. She was born May 31, 1960 in New Castle a daughter of the late Jack May and Frieda Mae Gulley.
She was an avid motorcyclist and had a free spirit. Carla enjoyed making very professional jewelry, including wedding jewelry. She also enjoyed going to garage sales and fishing. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and cat.
She is survived by two daughters: Melissa Schaeffer (fiancé: Jeremy Leisure) of Knightstown, Jackie Mueller of Knightstown; two grandsons: Matthew Mueller and Landon Wildman; two sisters: Susan (Eddie) Nolan and Patricia Johnson of AR; a brother: David Johnson of AR; two nephews: Chad and Dillon Autry of AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be at 10:30 AM Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Friends may call from 9:30 AM until time of service.
