Carlos Baugh, 88, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Henry County Hospital. He was born February 14, 1926 in Pulaski County, KY the son of James and Thula (Warren) Baugh.
Carlos graduated from Eubank High School in KY and attended 2 years of Vocational School with training specializing in printing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII from 1944-1946. Carlos retired in 1991 from The Courier Times following 40 years of service. He always liked to work on machinery especially lawn mowers. Carlos was raised in the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Morris) House-Baugh of New Castle; three daughters, Cristi (husband/step-son, Bill) House of Athens, GA, Anita (husband: Jim) Razor of Athens, GA and Lisa Harmon of New Castle; step-daughter, Kay House (husband: John) Clark of Elkhart; grandchildren, Christopher (wife: Emily) Razor of Louisville, KY, Brenton (Jenna) Razor of Yorktown, Andrew (wife: Stephanie) Razor of New Hampshire, Kendall (husband: Zach) Powell of New Castle, Megan Horselooking of New Castle; great-grandchildren, Cooper and Gage Horselooking, Luke Razor, Emelia Pinon, Kaitlin Razor; sister-in-law, Maxine Thompson of Waverly, OH, Cara West of New Castle, Marie Back-Dean of Cicero, Volena Back of TN, Kathy Baugh of Louisville, KY; brother-in-law, Robert L. Morris of Knightstown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nathalia (Back) Baugh; mother-in-law, Emma Morris; two sisters, Eva Baugh and Mildred Mercer; and brother, Lewis Baugh.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, December 8, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Jeff Johnson officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the local VFW, American Legion and an active duty contingent of the U.S. Army. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 3-6 PM Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Cadiz Christian Church, 4894 W St Rd 38, New Castle, IN 47362.
