Charles W. Doss

Charles W. Doss, 73, of Muncie formerly of New Castle passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Monticello, KY. He was born March 20, 1944 to the late Edwin Paul and Lillie (Chriswell) Doss.

Charles retired from the Chrysler Corp. in New Castle in 2003 after 36 years of service. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ in New Castle for 41 years then Town Acres Church of Christ until his passing. He enjoyed reading his Bible, spending time with his family especially his grandson Josh, going to Kentucky with son-in-law Mike and his friend Ron on their fishing trips. Charles loved watching college basketball and was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda (Carter) Doss, two daughters, Kellie (Mike) Baldwin of Anderson; Genia (Mike) Armstrong of Muncie; grandson, Joshua Baldwin, step-granddaughter, Megan (Jason) Ward, step great-granddaughter, Amona Ash both of New Castle, several nieces, nephews and cousins that loved him dearly.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 at Town Acres Church of Christ, 2411 E. Riggin Rd., Muncie, IN 47303, with Mark Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Sunday, July 2 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle and from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday at the church, prior to the service. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Town Acres Church of Christ.
