Cheryl Lynn Hammond

Cheryl Lynn Hammond, 59, of Muncie passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Liberty Village. She was born September 24, 1958 in New Castle to Willmer Gene Hammond and Carrie (Lane) Shores.

Cheryl worked at Ball Hospital for over 23 years and was a member of Springport Christian Church. She was an avid fan of the Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts. She loved spending time with her family and doing ceramics.

She is survived by her mother, Carrie Shores; a son, Marion Hammond; step sister, Sherry (Eugene) Wilbur; niece, Brandee (Jonathan) Price; nephew, Michael (Brandie) Wilbur; aunts, Evelyn Hammond and Juanita Hammond; and many cousins.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her sister, Marie Elane Craig; brother, Gene Dewayne Hammond and an aunt, Mildred Jester.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Jennifer Whitten and Pastor Tad Mills officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
