Christopher M. Tames, 50, of Wilkinson went to be with the Lord Friday, August 1, 2014 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born July 30, 1964 in Beech Grove, a son of Michael Tames and Karen (Powell) Jones.
He loved the Lord and was a member of Antioch the Apostolic Church. He loved to play guitar. Chris was a loving husband, father and grandpa. Being very witty he loved to laugh and play jokes on others. Chris enjoyed working with his hands, doing everything to perfection.
Chris is survived by his wife of 21 years: Denise K. (Thomas) Tames of Wilkinson; one son: Chris H. Maker, Jr. (fiancé: Jessica Maxon) of Anderson; grandchildren: Sierra Maker of Indianapolis, Shawn Maxon and Chris H. Maker, III of Anderson; his mother: Karen (Kenny) Jones of Greenwood; sisters: Donna (Richard) Moran of Greenwood, Debbie (Carl) Youngstafel of Greenwood and Stephanie (Mike) Cook of Fishers; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Michael Tames
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Antioch the Apostolic Church, 11140 East 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229 with Reverend Kent R. Gray officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown and from 12p.m-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
