D. Daniel McGlothin, 32, of Knightstown, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at his residence. He was born September 22, 1982 in New Castle the son of David and Carol (Hinshaw) McGlothin.
Daniel attended Blue River Valley High School where he ran cross country and played basketball and baseball. At the age of 12 he earned his black belt in Karate. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved music, was very artistic and worked as a tattoo artist. Daniel loved playing with his children, teaching them how to ride bikes and catching lightning bugs.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Heather (Hamilton) McGlothin of Knightstown; children, Destiny McGlothin, Makayla McGlothin, Kailey Grider and Breanna Hamilton; grandparents, Charlotte McGlothin, Bill Hinshaw (Bridgette), Betty Hinshaw (Brandy); aunt, Teresa (Jeff) Sorrell; mother-in-law: Karen Schutt (Jim); father-in-law, Tim Hamilton; sister-in-law, Holly Hamilton (Aaron); several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by great grandparents; uncles, Scott Hinshaw and Gene Cowgill; special friends, Jamie Cash, Ryan Courtney and Ryan Guy.
Services will be at 8:00 PM Monday, June 29, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Jim Cash and Dustin Chew officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 PM prior to the service. Condolences and memories of Daniel may be shared at
