Donald Roger Wood

Donald Roger Wood, 64, of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born February 27, 1951 in New Castle to the late Lyle and Clara Franes (Stone) Wood.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. Donald retired from Modernfold Corporation in 2000 following 35 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding and spending time with his family.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Kay Wood of New Castle; grandson, James Tayler Burton, II of New Castle; and aunt and several cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene K. Wood; brother, Ronald Kenneth Wood.
Military services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion and VFW. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
