Donna Bell Pitts, 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, after a long battle with cancer. She and her husband Omar Pitts shared 56 wonderful years of marriage together.
Born in Monticello, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Dewitt and Anna Bell. She was a longtime active member of Christ United Methodist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she especially loved her involvement with the Prayer Quilt Ministry and singing with The Joyful Noise Choir. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, square dancing, camping and fishing at Lake O’ the Pines.
She is survived by her husband Omar Pitts, son Eric Pitts and his wife Kim, grandson Tyler “Precious Love” Pitts, and granddaughter Kaitlyn “Angel Girl” Pitts, all of Colorado Springs; siblings Beulah Fudge of Eaton, OH; Dewitt Bell of Erie, PA; Nova Nation and Barbara Disbro of New Castle, IN; Mara Ann Kendall of Lewisville, IN; Ellen Suttle of Milton, IN; several aunts and uncles, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dewitt Bell and Anna Bell Steele, her brother Manuel, and several aunts and uncles.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, IN. Burial will follow in Lewisville Cemetery.
