Donreta Hoover

Donreta Hoover, 83, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Willowbend Living Center in Muncie, Indiana. She was born September 28, 1932 in Clinton County, Kentucky to the late James Edgar and Bonnie (Bertram) Gibson.

Donreta was a longtime member of The Sanctuary of New Castle. She enjoyed singing and playing her guitar. Donreta was a fun loving woman who loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Harlen Hoover of New Castle; daughter, Barbara June (Billy) Thurston of St. Louis; son, Wallace Gene Hoover of New Castle; two grandchildren, Traci (Pastor Jeff) Jaco of New Castle and Troy Thurston of St. Louis, MO; four great grandchildren, Taylor and Halle Thurston, Jay and Hope Jaco; two brothers, Lloyd (Lucille) Gibson of Lynn and Robert Gibson of Blountsville; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Florede Gibson, Molene Wiggins and Louise Guffey; two brothers, Woodrow Gibson and Esco Gibson.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Jeff Jaco officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Friday.
