Dorothy Marie Van Duyn

Dorothy Marie (Nelson) Van Duyn, 77, of Knightstown, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Sugar Creek following a long illness and now is with Jesus. She was born July 27, 1939 in Ogden the daughter of Alvie and Hazel (Montgomery) Roberts.

She had a generous spirit and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Chris Nelson of Knightstown; grandchildren, Tori (Vince) Reilly and John Christopher Nelson both of Knightstown; siblings, Tom (Sharon) Roberts of Carthage, Donna Roberts of Carthage and Virginia Stearns of Knightstown; former daughter-in-law, Tammy Nelson of Knightstown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John W. Nelson; second husband, Larry Van Duyn; siblings, Margaret Roberts, June Roberts, Marjorie Clay and Rusty Roberts.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Friday, February 17, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home with David Bonne officiating.
