Edith LaVerne Dotson

November 14, 1933 — July 19, 2014

Edith LaVerne Parson Dotson, 80, of Spiceland, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at her residence. She was born November 14, 1933 in Berea, KY a daughter of Harrison and Virgie (Bryant) Parson.

She was a homemaker and loved to cook.

Edith is survived by two daughters; Pam (Tony) Williams of Spiceland and Sandy (Mike) Abney of Burlington; a son: David Dotson of Crossville, TN; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three sisters: Opal Howard of Berea, KY, Thelma Starnes of Paint Lick, KY and Bea Towry of Van Buren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Dewey Roger Dotson; brothers: Ernest, Cleitus, William and Ben; sisters: Carrie and Mayme.

Services will be at 2:30 PM Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Mike Abney officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:30 until time of service. Memorials contributions may be made to White Lick Baptist Church, PO Box 1041, Berea, KY 40403.
