Eva Catron Fox, age 84, of New Castle, went home to be with the Lord Monday, April 8, 2013 at Henry County Hospital. She was born July 3, 1928 in Powersburg, Kentucky to the late John Oscar and Zona Lee (Denney) Catron.
A 1944 graduate of Wayne County High School, she attended College at Columbia, Kentucky. She attended Eastside United Brethren Church and was a member of Pleasant Hill Church in Wayne County, Kentucky. She retired from Firestone following 40 years of service and was the secretary for Local UAW #238. She loved to garden and spend time with her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 52 years, Richard Fox of New Castle; children, Delina (husband, Jim) Carter, John Fox and Leann Massengale all of New Castle; one sister, Vena Bell; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and special friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Fox, Jr., and Jimmy McCutchen; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lawrence and Margaret Fox; niece, Judy Bell Ingram.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Gary McCutchen officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
