Floyd Keith Dunn II

Floyd Keith Dunn II, 68 of New Castle, passed away at his home Tuesday, March 21, 2017. He was born, April 10, 1949 in New Castle, to Floyd and Dorothy (Neal) Dunn.
He is a lifelong residence of Henry County and graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1967 with the last graduating class. Floyd worked at Westinghouse in Muncie from 1967 until it closed in the 1980’s. He then ran a successful masonry business for several years, retiring in 2012 from Chrysler Corp. in Belvedere, IL after the plant closed in New Castle. Floyd was a member of Greensboro Masonic Blue Lodge, Knights of Pythias, Knights of Templar, and York Scottish Rite. He was an avid NASCAR race fan and donated generously to several different charities.
Floyd is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Neal) Dunn; sister, Hazel Lewis of West Lafayette; brother, David Dunn of New Castle; nieces Mandy and Sara; and nephew Travis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd K. Dunn Sr.; brother, Estel Dunn; paternal grandmother, Stella White; maternal grandparents, Estel and Rachel Neal; uncle, Joseph B. Dunn; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Graveside services will be 1: 00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Mt. Summit Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 26th, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Memorial contributions may be sent to American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Knights of Pythias and Masonic Memorial services will be held.
