Harlin Marshall Dalton, age 71, of New Castle, Indiana passed away Thursday September 24 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis after a brief illness. He was born on October 30, 1943, in New Castle, a son of Marshall C. and Inis L. (Luttrell) Dalton.
He was a 1961 graduate of Spiceland High School and Indiana College of Mortuary Science. For many years he was employed by several funeral homes including Macer-Hall Funeral Home. He retired from Modernfold Industries after 32 years and was currently employed by Kloeckner Metals Corporation.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sue (Shafer) Dalton of New Castle, two daughters, Abbe Dalton Clark (husband Ben) of Newton, MA, Aimee Collins (husband David) of Milord, OH, and a son, Aaron Dalton (wife Tabathia) of Muncie, grandchildren Kayla Dalton, Makayla Jewell Dalton and Harry Clark, and William and Ariah. He is also survived by a sister, Joan Weston of New Castle, and two brothers, Tom (wife Pat) Dalton, of New Castle, and Stephen (wife Kris) Dalton of Remington, along with one aunt, Betty Luttrell, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Mike Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at the funeral home. You may share a memory of Harlin at
