James Arthur Hall, age 87, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 2, 1928 in New Castle, Indiana to the late William H. and Helen M. (Runion) Hall.
He retired in 1993 as a farmer, having farmed in Henry County for many years. Jim had also been employed at Modernfold for 18 years. He graduated from New Lisbon High School in 1946. Jim was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his four children, James E. (Beverly) Hall of New Castle, Judith Kay (Keith) Warrick of Newport, KY, Timothy A. (Janet) Hall of Orange, CA, and Thomas L. (Karen) Hall of New Castle; nine grandchildren, Elisha Oberhelman, Brian Warrick, James R. Hall, Alan Warrick, Cyndel Miltimore, Wesley Hall, Erin Austin, Erica Gomez-Ortigoza and T. Michael Hall; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Roberta Disbro of Markle, IN; two brothers, Elmer (Violet) Hall of Modoc and Robert (Beverly) Hall of Knightstown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delia Hall in 1994; two sisters, Esther Bade and Kathy Hall; two brothers, Ray and Paul Hall.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at First Church of the Nazarene with Reverends Danny Goddard and Norwood Kreuzinger officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
