James "Pete" O. Braden

August 16, 1934 — September 3, 2014

James “Pete” Braden, 80, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born August 16, 1934 in Scott County, Tennessee to the late Millard and Ethyl (Angel) Braden.

Pete loved watching western movies and enjoyed guns of all types. He was a beloved father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his children: Sharon (Gerald) Magee of Indianapolis, Johnny Braden of Muncie, Ronnie (Thelma) Braden of Bowling Green, KY, Donny Braden of Muncie, and Sandi (Dan) Coomer of New Castle; 9 grand children; and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Joyce Braden and a son: David Braden.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
