Jenna Renea Mosier

August 17, 2009 — March 1, 2016

Jenna Renea Mosier, 6, of Mooreland passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Henry County Hospital. She was born on August 17, 2009 in New Castle to parents Jarod and Kristi (Stearns) Mosier of Mooreland.

Jenna sparkled! She was our guiding light, a bright ray of sunshine, always singing and dancing. A social butterfly, Jenna was always doing special little things for people and liked to share. At Christmas, she got her Olaf snow cone maker and was so proud of it. She wanted to share a snow cone with all her cousins. She loved to bake or make concoctions in the kitchen that were not even edible, but we told her they were great. She would dress up in her princess dresses and head outside to make mud pies.

Jenna meant a lot to many people, especially her family. She was her Mommy’s little sidekick and loved her Daddy so much. Every Mother’s Day, Jenna and her Daddy would buy Jenna’s favorite flowers, daisies and snap dragons, and give to her Mommy. She loved planting and picking flowers. Jenna’s mother said, “I have never seen a kid who loved her brother so much.” She and her brother, Quinten, were so close they loved to cuddle, read, color, and ride bikes together. Jenna loved going to all her big brother’s activities and being involved in things he was doing.

Jenna was a kindergarten student at Blue River Valley Elementary School and, like most 6 year olds, always had a question and answer about everything. She loved flip flops, the beach, and summertime. Jenna also loved to draw, write, and color. While looking through her coloring book, her Daddy found a marked page. Jenna had colored a picture they had not seen yet- it was an angel.

In addition to Jenna’s parents she is survived by her brother, Quinten Mosier of Mooreland; maternal grandmother, Janet Stearns of Mooreland; paternal grandmother, Suzanne Hilbert of Modoc; paternal grandfather, Barry (Leann) Mosier of Clayton; maternal great grandmother, Lois Compton of Mooreland; paternal great grandmother, Martha Giggy of Richmond and Thelma Mosier of Plainfield; aunts, Tonya (Bruce) Swallow of Parker City and Shawna (Matt) Taylor of Farmland; uncles, Dean (Linley) Mosier of Fishers, Justin Stearns, Tom Stearns and Mitch Stearns all of New Castle; aunt, Carrie Hardwick of Spiceland; cousins, Ella and Evan Swallow of Parker City, Landon and Hayden Taylor of Farmland and Hailey and Taylor Hardwick of Spiceland; several great aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jenna is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Earl Stearns; maternal great grandmother, Eva Stearns; maternal great grandfathers, Eugene Stearns and Jesse Compton; paternal great grandfathers, Kenneth Mosier and Jim Giggy.
