Jimmy Lee Carswell, 85, of Ruskin, FL, Au Gres, MI and New Castle, IN passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at his home in New Castle. He was born September 18, 1931 in Morganton, NC.
Jim is survived by his wife, Betty Chappell Carswell; two daughters, Sandra (Tim) Stevens and Phyllis (partner, Brian) Buff of Morganton, NC; step children, Steve (Mary Lou) Chappell, Beth (David) Sutherland, both of New Castle and Greg (Amy) Chappell of Naples, FL.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service may be held in Morganton, NC at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service IN New Castle. www.hinsey-brown.com .
