June Ann Rogers, 72, of New Castle passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at her home. She was born October 12, 1945 in Carroll County, IN to Robert and Elnora (Johnson) Scott.
She retired from New Castle School Corporation as a teacher for 46 years, where she taught at Weir, Eastwood, Wilbur Wright and Greenstreet schools. June was a member of ABWA, DAR, and an active member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Affectionately known as “Ma” She loved teaching and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Anne Rogers of New Castle; her father, Robert Scott of Delphi, IN; brother, John (Terri) Scott of Delphi, IN; sister, Mary Sealy (Bill) of Southport, IN; grandchildren, Victor Mukes, Alexandria, Sarah, and Sam Rogers; great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Owen Mukes; niece, Melanie (Jamie) Campbell; two nephews, Brian (Nicole) Scott and James Sealy; brother-in-law, Richard (Rox) Wagner, caregivers, Charles Love and Ashley Fields.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elnora Scott, husband, Robert J. Rogers, son, Robert C. Rogers.
Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Father John Hall officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Delphi, IN.
