Kathy Lockridge Rector, 72, of New Castle passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at her home. She was born October 9, 1944 in New Castle.
Kathy grew up in Spiceland and was a long time resident of Navarre, FL until returning to New Castle in 2013. She was employed for 16 years at Hiawatha Nursery in Navarre, FL, 10 years at Red Beards Seafood, and Wal-Mart from 1998 – 2012 in Navarre and New Castle. Kathy enjoyed work, cooking, making people smile and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bobby D. Rector of New Castle; children, Bobby D. Rector II of Buckhead, GA; Rhonda R. Rector of New Castle; Tina Rector, deceased, brothers, Vernon J. (Kriss) Lockridge and Dwight Lockridge, both of New Castle; grandchildren, Jared A. Rector, Brooke E. Rector, Blake A. Rector, Heather M. Nobles, Courtney M. Nobles, Jaimee E. Durbin, great-grandchildren, Chloe E. Rector, Ruaric M. Meadows, several nieces, nephews and special friend, Melissa Bowman.
A memorial service will be held at the family’s convenience. Friends and family may call Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. You may express condolences or share a memory of Kathy at www.hinsey-brown.com .
