Kenneth E. Coner, 83, of Mooreland passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Henry Community Health. He was born January 1, 1935 in Cain Town, KY to the late Ed and Beulah (Beshears) Coner.
He was a Sunday school teacher at various Nazarene Churches, but was currently a member and faithfully attended Westview Nazarene. Kenneth loved his family and the Lord; he enjoyed people and friends. He grew up on a farm and enjoyed farming, cutting wood and gardening. Kenneth retired from New Castle Stainless Plate in 1998 after 13 years of service and previously worked for Marhoeffers Packing in Muncie for 25 years.
He is survived by his children, Annis (Dan) York of Decatur, Marlena (Leonard) Payne of Dublin and Kenny Wayne (Esther) Coner of Mooreland; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, five sisters, three brothers and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Lynn Coner and three brothers.
Services will be 3:00p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Gene Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-3p.m. Saturday prior to the service. You may express condolences or share a memory of Kenneth at
