Kenneth “Kenny” D. Oldham, age 48, of Cadiz, passed away surrounded by his family and friends Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Methodist Hospital following a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born February 2, 1967 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Herbert David Oldham, Jr. and Marsha K. (Shaw) McDaniel.
Kenny was a 1986 graduate of Shenandoah High School, where he was a letterman on the football team. He coached baseball and basketball for the Salvation Army for several years. He was a plumber at New Castle Plumbing, Drainman, Inc, and was also a mechanic by trade for Bill Walker Ford. Kenny loved working in his yard and his garage and also enjoyed golfing, playing softball, and video games with his friends. He loved all animals, especially his dogs and was an avid Indianapolis Colts and IU fan.
Survivors include his wife, S. Gale Oldham of Cadiz; mother, Marsha (David) McDaniel of Cadiz; son, Brian David (Sara) Oldham of Cadiz; stepson, Josh (Angie Shera) Popplewell of Anderson; sister, Karen (James) Wilkinson of New Castle; a brother, Joey (Lori) McDaniel of New Castle; grandmother, Belva Shaw of Lake Wales, FL; three grandchildren, Brienne, Bryant and Max; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Oldham; grandpa, Max Shaw; stepbrother, Rick Smith; grandparents, Herb and Edna Oldham and Robert and Joanne McDaniel.
Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in Cadiz Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
