Larry O. Bennett Sr.

Larry O. Bennett Sr., 64, of Knightstown, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 4, 2014 in his home. He was born October 24, 1949 in Wilson County, TN, a son of the late L.B. and Liza Melissa (Bates) Bennett.
A graduate of New Palestine High School, Larry worked in drywall installation for many years. He enjoyed writing poetry, and had many poems and readings published over the years.
Survivors include his wife, B. Karen Bennett of Knightstown; five children; Larry O. Bennett Jr. of Brookeville, Tina Reddick of Florida, Mike Bennett of Knightstown, Gene Bennett of Walling, TN, and Timmy Bennett of Greenwood; step children, Jeff Haler of Rushville, Mark Haler of Greensburg, Michelle Bowling of Greensburg, and Jennifer Haler of Knightstown; a sister, Barbara Bruner of Hancock County; twenty four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Bennett.
Private graveside services were conducted at Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland with Pastor Eric Haler officiating. Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle is in charge of arrangements. You may express a condolence or share a memory of Larry at www.hinsey-brown.com .
