Louise Reffitt

Louise Reffitt, 95, a resident of Ridgedale, MO and formerly of New Castle, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Pt. Lookout Nursing and Rehab. She was born on October 7, 1921 in Ashland, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Ace & Hattie (Bellamy) Runyon.

Louise grew up in Ohio and attended school there. She later married Arvil Reffitt and moved to Wilkinson, where she worked as a cook in the public school. Louise was a longtime member of First Church of the Nazarene in New Castle. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and being with her family. In 2008, Louise moved to Ridgedale from Wilkinson, where she attended Branson United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sons: Larry Reffitt and Paul (Barbara) Reffitt, both of Ridgedale; brothers, Delbert (Marilyn) Runyon of Westport and Richard (Rita) Runyon of Marion; a sister, Barbara Young of Shirley; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor David Huff officiating. Burial will be at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Condolences and memories of Louise may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
