Marty A. Simpson

Marty Simpson, 57, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Hancock County Regional Hospital following an extended illness. He was born January 4, 1957 in New Castle, a son of James Ralph and Lena (Denney) Simpson.

Marty attended New Castle Schools and was employed at Von Duprin in Indianapolis for the past 24 years. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Indianapolis Colts.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Skye Simpson (Andrea Lee) of New Castle; a grandson, Mason Lee of New Castle; his mother, Lena Simpson of New Castle; three sisters, Betty (Cecil) Burnett of Russell Springs, KY, Rita Custer of Greenfield, Louise Simpson of New Castle; a brother, Mike Simpson of Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Ralph Simpson.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Matt Wickham officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
