Mary Wanda (Cooper) Howard, 68, a resident of Knightstown, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at her residence. She was born April 21, 1946 in Wilder, Tennessee to the late Captain H. and Lora (Bertram) Cooper.
She had been employed at Philco-Ford Corp. in Connersville and Sears Roebuck Co., in both Castleton and New Castle. She had also previously worked at Western Electric in Indianapolis. Wanda was a member Community Baptist Church in Knightstown and was an avid animal lover. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, plants, shopping and spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughters.
Survivors include a daughter, Teresa (Michael) Neal of Kennard; a son, Eddie (Annette) Howard of Rockford, IL; two granddaughters, Sasha Howard and Michaela Neal; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Howard in 1999; siblings, Ross, Norman, Cora, Hob, Anne, Clinton and Chloe.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Danny Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
