Nancy P. Holder

Nancy P. Holder, 66, of New Castle, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born May 18, 1949 in New Castle a daughter of the late Curtis L. Huffman and Mary (Ford) Huffman of New Castle.

Nancy was a Supervisor at the New Castle State Hospital from 1980-1998. She then was employed at LaRue Carter State Hospital in Indianapolis until her retirement in 2009. Her whole life was her job, it was her hobby, she loved taking care of people. She was very family oriented and loved her dogs. Nancy was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed her home and fixing it up.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by sons, Stephen A. Neal of Indianapolis, Gregory S. Neal of Springport; grandchildren, Britany (Chris) Jackson of Louisville, Craig Neal of Camby and Casey Neal of Camby, Samilla Nicole Neal (fiancé, Tommy Lucas) of New Castle, Zackary Ty Neal of Jacksonville, Fl; great granddaughter, Jennifer Shay Lucas of New Castle; sisters, Gloria (Charles) Burke, Patricia Houser, Kay Vaughn, Teresa (Alden) Tabor and Judy (Tony) Rocco all of New Castle; brother-in-law, Gene Vaughn of New Castle; daughter-in-law, Charity Neal of Camby; several nieces and nephews; some very close childhood friends that were with her till the end.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Troy Michael Neal; fiancé, David Skirvin; brothers, Gary and Mark Huffman; brother-in-law, Stephen Houser.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Bob Schon officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
