Nancy L. White

March 8, 1939 — August 17, 2015

Nancy L. White, 76, of Vacaville, California, passed away early Monday morning, August 17, 2015 in Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. She was born March 8, 1939 in Bedford, Indiana, a daughter of the late Louie H. and Edith (Tolliver) Lantz.

A 1957 graduate of Shortridge High School in Indianapolis, she and her husband lived near Peru, Indiana until moving to Vacaville in 1974. While there, Nancy served as secretary and later taught at the Fairfield Adult School in Fairfield, California. Nancy was a strong, loving, and adventurous woman. She also enjoyed making decorative lamps for family members, collecting dolls, was an avid reader and was ever learning.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four children, Carl Dean (Julie) White of Denver, IN, Chris Duane (Roberta) White of Vacaville, Craig Douglas (Lois) White of Dixon, CA, and Teresa Lee White Borelli of Dixon, CA; seven grandchildren, Melissa (Robert) Rood of Peru, IN, Zachary (Stephanie) White of Peru, IN, Carly (Chris) Barrett of Murietta, CA and Chelsea White of San Diego, Caleb Dean White of Dixon, CA, Nolan (Jennifer) White of Blue Lake, CA, and Maddie Rose Borelli of Fairfield; great grandchildren, Abriana, Robbie, Rebecca and Savannah Rood of Peru, IN, J.C., Benjamin, and Levi White, all of Peru, Colton Barrett and Cayden Barrett, both of San Diego, Gabriel White of Blue Lake, CA, and Valentin Vega of Fairfield, CA. Also, a sister, Linda L. Jones of Indianapolis, several nieces, nephews, and cousins survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Carl David White, whom she married July 28, 1957 in Bedford, IN. Also, a sister, Pat Minton, and a brother, Steve Lantz.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford, IN. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery in Bedford, IN. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675.
