Patricia S. Herbert, 65, of New Castle passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 at Methodist Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born July 4, 1949 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of Willard and Joyce (McWhorter) Gregory.
She was a 1967 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School. Patty was currently employed by Home Depot in Greenfield and thought of her co-workers as a second family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed arts and crafts of all types. She was a Coca-Cola memorabilia collector and also loved antiquing, dolls, flea markets and traveling. She was an animal lover and especially loved her dogs Sasha and Louise.
She is survived by her son: Alan Huddleson of San Tan Valley, Arizona; her mother: Joyce Gregory of New Castle; brother: Jeffry Gregory of New Castle; sister: Lisa (fiancé: Steve George) Neal of Greenwood; niece: Laura Cooper; two step sons: Raymond Herbert III and William Herbert; and several close friends
She was preceded in death by her father: Willard Gregory and husband: Raymond Herbert Jr.
Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
