Patsy M. Dobbs, 70, of Spiceland passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Glen Oaks Health Campus following a battle with cancer. She was born February 11, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Theodore Dishman and Rilda (Thomas) Gasser.
Pat was a 1962 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and worked 20 years as the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Spiceland. She enjoyed gardening and walking the beach but was most passionate about loving her family and grandchildren and her Savior Jesus Christ.
Pat is survived by her husband of 52 years: Forrest H. Dobbs of Spiceland; children: Troy (Cheri) Dobbs of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Toni (Blaine) Spicer of Knightstown, Tracy (Mary Kay) Dobbs of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Brittany, Delaney, Hunter, Marlee, Sophie and Drake; mother: Rilda Gasser of Dunreith; siblings: Kelly (Madie) Dishman of Denton, Texas and Carol Carter of Dunreith.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her infant daughter: Renea Dobbs; step father: Keith Gasser; brothers: Dean and Donnie Dishman.
Services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, September, 15, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Pastor Phil Wright, of Traders Point Christian Church and Pastor Troy Dobbs, of Grace Church of Eden Prairie will be officiating. Burial will follow at Circle Grove Cemetery.
