Phillip Barnes was born on April 23, 1931, and passed away on January 13, 2018. He rejoins his late wife, Patricia Barnes, in heaven.
He is survived by his three children: Valerie Trump (Bruce), Vanessa Lee (Frank), and Todd Barnes (Tracy); grandchildren: Stephanie Lee, Lauren Karaganis (Phillip), Derrick Lee, Emma Barnes and Katja Barnes; great-grandchildren: Jaxton Lee, Kalista Karaganis, Sawyer Lee, Anastasios Karaganis and Isaiah Weston; step-great grandchildren: Sophia Karaganis and Eleni Karaganis.
Phillip loved his wife and family, woodworking, antiquing, western movies and a smooth glass of whiskey – in that order. Family and his wife came before everything else. He also loved travelling and our National Parks. His children fondly recount the time they camped at Grand Teton National Park. While they slept in their tent, it began to snow, and bears brushed against the sides of the tent. Phillip kept watch all night, with a hatchet in hand, to protect his family. From then on, they camped in a travel trailer. Phillip will always be remembered by his family for his caring nature, sense of humor and unique perspective.
