Ronald H. Pierce, 82, of New Castle passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 1, 1936 in New Castle to the late Robert and Katherine (Gibbons) Pierce.
He owned and operated Expert Transmission in New Castle for 28 years. Ronald had also been employed at Chrysler Corp. for 13 years, after retirement he worked part time at New Castle Engineering and Best Air Company in New Castle. He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge, Scottish rite and Murat Shine where he enjoyed riding go carts in parades. Ronald loved his cats.
He is survived by his children: Terry Ann (Jan) Cochran, Connie Jackson and Mark Pierce all of New Castle; stepchildren, Joyce Rose (Ferg) Stevens of Lewisville, Sheila Rose (David) Simpson of Rushville, Willie Jr. (Wanda) Rose of New Castle and David (Amy) Rose of Lewisville; 7 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 22 step great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; siblings, Phyllis (John) Blackburn of Winchester, Roger Dale (Regina) Pierce of Ft. Myers, FL and Sharon White of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife first wife of 29 years, Shirley Pierce and his second wife of 28 years, Mary Ellen Pierce, grandson, Levi Rose, brother, Robert Pierce, Jr., infant sister, Patricia Ann Pierce and brother-in-law, Mike White.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Mark Herbkersman. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition.
