Rosemary F. Scanlon, 98, of Spiceland went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Addison Place. She was born November 7, 1919 in Cincinnati, OH to the late John and Lillian (Hein) Bertke.

Rosemary was an avid golfer and bridge player. She loved to travel with her husband John. They traveled to Europe and many places around the world. She lived in Cincinnati for 91 years before moving to the town of Spiceland to live with her daughter, son in law and granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, her brothers, Msgr Stan Bertke, Fr. Erwin Bertke. She is survived by her sister, Jean Schlotman her children, Mike Scanlon (wife, Patricia), Debbie Hicks (husband, Bob), Marc Scanlon (wife, Valerie), daughter, Marita Roberson (husband, Chuck), and many loved Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Four Square Church Flower House. A funeral mass will be held at a later date in Cincinnati, OH. Memorial contributions may be sent to Cincinnati Association for the Blind, 2045 Gilbert Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45202.
