Sarah E. Gibson

Sarah B. (Wilt) Gibson, 51, of New Castle passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospice. She was born September 5, 1965 in Rushville to William and Neysa (Vass) Wilt.

She was a graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School in 1984 and a graduate of University of Indianapolis in 1988 where she received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. Sarah was the third generation to graduate from University of Indianapolis. She enjoyed couponing and rebating. Sarah loved pets, especially cats. She was her mother’s care taker and loving cared for her.

She leaves behind her husband, Derek Childs, daughter, Rachel E. Gibson, mother, Neysa R. Wilt, brother, Malcolm S. Wilt and stepdaughter, Taylor Childs

She is preceded in death by her father, William Wilt.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017 at First Baptist Church of New Castle with Rev. Jerry Ingalls and Rev. Verla Custer officiating. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
