Virginia K. "Ginny" Pickrell

Virginia “Ginny” K. Pickrell, 88, of New Castle passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Hickory Creek of New Castle. She was born December 19, 1927 in Noblesville, Indiana.
She retired from the Firestone Corporation in Noblesville in 1982 after 36 years of service. After retirement, she was employed at Target in Westfield. Ginny was formerly assistant manager at Lerner’s Dress Shop in Glendale Mall. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Sheridan, enjoyed cooking and loved dogs.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Pickrell (companion: Joy Burke) of New Castle; two daughters, Linda (Bill) Hicks of New Castle and Jeannie Gifford of Sheridan; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, including Eric Gifford of Sheridan; a brother, Kenneth Holloway of Brownstown; and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy (Pickrell) Belt and a son-in-law, Jim Gifford.
