Virginia Mae Reedy, age 93, of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Henry County Hospital. She was born January 22, 1922 in Ruffsdale, Pennsylvania to the late J.B. and Flora Lillian (Smith) Thompson.
She had worked at the Bufferfield Canning Factory in Dunreith for 19 years. Virginia was an avid cake baker and bowler, bowling in the Senior Citizens Leagues at New Castle Lanes and Rose Bowl. She was still bowling at age 91.
Survivors include sister-in-law, Betty Thompson of Hunker, PA; nieces and nephews, Susan Albert of Greensburg, PA, William V. Thompson of Youngwood, PA, Cathy Thompson of Grateville, PA, Cynthia (Davis) Camione of Greensburg, PA, Mark Thompson of New Brighton, PA, Linda (Mark) Hascall and their daughter, Sally Hascall all of Greenfield, Jimmy Estelle and Kenneth Estelle both of Greenfield, and Timothy Estelle of Santa Anna, CA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ira Reedy in 1991; a daughter Nancy Lee Borg; son-in-law, Ray Borg; a sister, Margaret June Estelle; two brothers, William Thompson and James Thompson.
Services will be at 10A.M. Saturday March 28, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Eric Haler officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
