William Judgement Linch, 93, of Knightstown, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born July 21, 1923 in Warrington, the son of William A. and Mary L. (Masters) Linch.
He retired from Delco Remy, Anderson in 1984 after 33 years of service and was a lifelong farmer in the Henry County area. Judge was a member of the Knightstown Masonic Lodge for over 60 years. He also belonged to the Scottish Rite, Order of the Golden Rule, Eastern Star and was a faithful member of the Knightstown First Christian Church. Judge enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling to South Dakota to go pheasant hunting.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 71 years, Betty (Scovell) Linch, whom he married November 24, 1945; a son, Jeffrey W. (Janet) Linch of Knightstown; a daughter, Karen K. (Charles R.) Vise of Knightstown; three grandsons: Scot (Loretta) Moore of Greenfield, Erich Moore of Knightstown and Justin (Lisa) Linch of McCordsville; three great grandchildren, Hagan Moore, Austin Linch and Brody Linch; a great niece and several cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Linch Holliday.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Monday, April 17, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel where Masonic services will be at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with Richard Thayer and Anthony Darling officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
