William C. "Bill" Reiblein

William Charles “Bill” Reiblein, 74, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Heritage House in New Castle. He was born November 28, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late William and Jean (Powers) Reiblein, Sr.

Bill was well known amongst his friends and family for his sense of humor and wit. A graduate of a Cleveland, Ohio high school, he also graduated from San Jose College with a bachelor degree in Business. He then spent 12 years in the U.S. Air Force. Bill then worked in casinos in the South Lake, Tahoe, Nevada region for several years. After moving to New Castle, he worked at Ace Hardware in New Castle. He was a member of the American Legion Post #137 in New Castle. Bill loved his home, and enjoyed mowing his lawn and taking care of landscaping.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Kiplinger Reiblein of New Castle whom he married December 1, 1984; four children, Ed Reiblein of Cohoes, New York, Chris (Sherry) Reiblein of Plattsburgh, New York, Steve Reiblein of Plattsburgh, New York and Dan (Nora) Reiblein of Santa Clara, California; two step children, Alan (Stacy) Kiplinger of Reno, Nevada and Deanna Reiblein of New Castle; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry (Kate) Reiblein of Chico, California.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Reiblein.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Chaplain Jon Hudnall officiating. Military rites will also be conducted by the American Legion and a contingent from the U.S. Air Force. Memorial contributions may be given to Reid Hospice, 1100 Reid Parkway, Richmond, IN 47394.
