Agnes Louise Emerson, 83, of Spiceland passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2018 at the Waters of New Castle. She was born August 31, 1934 in Maysville, KY to the late Jess Snapp and Francie Hortense Glassock.
Agnes married Trendon Emerson on January 5, 1951, becoming a military wife (U. S. Air Force) and moved often with her family. Living in San Antonio, Texas; Rockville, Indiana; Sidi Slimane, Morocco; Charleston, South Carolina; San Bernardino, California; Ramstein, Germany and Midwest City, Oklahoma before finally settling in Spiceland, Indiana. She loved learning about and exploring our new locations, while making each one feel as much like home as possible.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, needlework and reading (especially mysteries). She had an extensive doll collection and loved working outside in her garden on warm sunny days. She liked to listen to classic music but her favorite artist was Elvis Presley. Her favorite song was Ava Maria. Her favorite television program was Downton Abbey.
She is survived by her sister, Francine Rausch, daughters, Kay (and John) Sullivan, Tina (Leon) Loveless, and son, Allan (Ellen) Emerson, daughter-in-law, Linda (Bogue) Emerson, grandchildren, Justin (Gretchen) Sullivan, Danielle (Ray) Duplessie, Shannon ( Ed) Murnane, Christopher and Jacob Emerson, Dejah (Liam) Moss, Scott Loveless, William (Stacey) Loveless, Zachary (Tele Barnett) Emerson, Alyse (Alec Jones) Emerson, great grandchildren, Russell, Sydney, and Tyler Sullivan, Raelyn and Andrew Loveless, Eli Murnane and Odin Moss.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased in death by her loving husband, Trendon Emerson and her beloved son, Kenneth Lee Emerson, two sisters, Mary Francis and Evelyn Moore.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service. Entombment will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
