Albert T. Brewster, 90, of New Castle passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at the home of his daughter. He was born February 15, 1929 in Monticello, KY to the Late Charlie and Mamie (Slaven) Brewster.
Albert retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1979 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the UAW and a former member of the American Legion. A veteran of the US Army Air Force he served during World War II, stationed in Japan. Albert was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and spending winters in Florida.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (Gordon) Cook of Fishers, Sandra (Mike) Brandt of New Castle, Norma (Greg) Brenneman of New Castle and Darlene White of FL; grandchildren, Lisa Peckham of Greenfield, Gregg Cook of Greenwood, Christa Acton of Columbus, Chuck Brenneman of Straughn, Tricia Edwards of Indianapolis and Lisa McLain of New Castle; great grandchildren, Bryan Peckham, Ana-Elizabeth and Carissa-Anne Cook, Mia and Alex Brandt, Larissa and Caroline Brenneman, Taylor Edwards and Brianna Heffernan; brother, Charles Brewster of Falmouth; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ina D. Brewster in December 2017; sisters, Lida, Mable, Lela and Leolia; brothers, Glen, Hollan, Arnold and Dick.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor Randy Brewster officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Military rites will be conducted by a contingent of the U.S. Army, American Legion and VFW.
