Anne L. Brenton

Anne L. Brenton, 78, of Knightstown, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at Henry Community Health in New Castle. She was born August 23, 1940 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Bernie and Anna Louise (Kernan) Berry.

Anne retired from Western Electric after 25 years of service and then worked for Decatur County Hospital for 5 years. She loved to cook for friends and family and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had formerly attended Wilkinson Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Anita (David) Daniels of Indianapolis and Teresa (Mickey) Spegal of Shirley; a special nephew, Kenny (Vicki) Berry of Gallatin, TN; three grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Ranes of Eaton, Doug Spegal of Shirley and Emily (Garrett) Leonard of Knightstown; four great grandchildren; a sister, Sydney Bianchini of Champaigne, IL; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Brenton; a son, Douglas Brenton; two brothers, Bernie Berry, Jr. and James Berry.

Services will be at 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Ryan McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilkinson Church of Christ, 7293 N State Road 109, Wilkinson, IN 46186.
