Archie Alexander Cox

April 16, 2021 — April 20, 2021

Archie Alexander Cox, infant son of Daniel and Kelley (Morris) Cox of New Castle went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Women’s Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born April 16, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Born 4 weeks early, Archie weighed 4 pounds 12 ounces and was 17.5 inches long. He had the sweetest features, but his head full of dark hair stole the show with all who met him! His story allowed for faith to be an example for others and brought about a great community of love, support, and prayer. Archie was incredibly brave during his four days with us and left an imprint on the hearts of many for all the days to come.

In addition to his parents, two brothers Calvin & Theodore Cox; grandparents, Gary & Debi Morris and Randy & Karen Cox, all of New Castle; aunts, Corrine Morris of New Castle, Katie Morris of Gearhart, Oregon, Holly Miller of New Castle and Kristin (Josh) Owens of New Castle; cousins, Aubrey & Jack Lapp, Mason, Michael & Maverick Miller and Olivia, Mallory & Emma Owens.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Barrett & Parker Cox; maternal great grandparents, James & Shirley Holliday, and Joe & Helen Morris; paternal great grandparents, Ralph & Marjorie Guffey and Ralph & Lucille Humerickhouse.

Private services for the family were held at First Church of the Nazarene in New Castle with Pastors Danny Goddard and Jim Becker officiating. Burial took place in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Donations may be made in Archie’s honor to the Ascension St. Vincent Women’s Hospital and NICU, 8402 Harcourt Road, Suite 210, Indianapolis, IN 46260 or https://give.stvincent.org/donate .
