Dr. Arnold E. Brown

Dr. Arnold E. Brown passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. He was born May 14, 1954 and raised in Indianapolis, IN where he graduated from Warren Central High School and excelled in Academics and wrestling. His superb talents on the mat earned him a scholarship to Franklin College where he wrestled all four years. After his wrestling days were done, he decided he wanted to serve his community and graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine. Once he graduated, he built a successful family practice on the east side of Indianapolis.

Dr. Brown faithfully served the citizens of Indianapolis and surrounding communities for twenty-six years until he was no longer able to fulfill his duties due to illness. He was a member of American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. Dr. Brown will always be remembered as a distinguished physician, outdoorsman, loving father, husband, brother and son. He will always be cherished and missed dearly. The world lost a great man, but heaven gave him wings.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years, Pamela S. (McDowell) Brown whom he married August 6, 1983; daughters, Amber M. (Joshua) Corwin and Ashley N. Brown (fiancé, David Mayse); grandchildren, Caleb and Christian Corwin, and Jada Adams; mother, Sylvia R. Brown; brother, Robert Brown (Rick); an uncle, Robert Bradley; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Lois McDowell; sister-in-law, Debra McDowell; brother-in-law, Bryan (Shelley) McDowell; and nephews, Jeff (Jamie) Brown, Andrew and Bradley McDowell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold E. Brown, Sr. and a brother, Joseph E. Brown.

Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Thursday, prior to the service. Condolences and memories of Dr. Brown may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
