Bart G. Carmack

Bart G. Carmack, 60, of Anderson passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born March 6, 1959 in Anderson, Indiana, a son of the late Johnnie and Vivian (Franklin) Carmack.

He had been employed as a Journeyman’s Meat Cutter at Matthews Meat Market in Anderson and was a USDA Food Inspector for Emge Meat Packing Plant. Bart coached Little League Baseball in the Anderson area for many years and was the manager of the 1991 Junior Little League State Champions. He was a longtime Chicago Bears & Cubs fan.

Survivors include four children, Brandon Carmack of Anderson, Shellet Carmack of Anderson, Kylie Ann (Derrick) Campbell of Wesley Chapel, Florida and McKenzie Carmack of Anderson; longtime girlfriend, Sherri Hatter; grandchildren, Ivan (Kinsey), Gabrielle, Mollie, Brady, Kyndall, Blake, Beverly and Maddux; great grandchildren, Briley and Taylor; former wife and longtime friend, Gail; brothers, David, Jimmy, Ricky, Bret, Michael and Banard Carmack; sisters, Vickie (Danny) Wilson, Debbie (Roger) Rigdon; special nephew, Carman Carmack and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Madison Carmack; a brother, Carman K. Hicks; infant sister, Shellet Carmack; and a niece Debbie Wagner.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Aletheia Fellowship Church in Anderson. Visitation will be from 1 – 3 p.m. prior to the service.
