Beate C. Wright, 74, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born June 16, 1943 in Berlin, Germany.
Beate retired from Walmart in New Castle in 2010 after 7 years of service and was formerly employed at the truck stop in Spiceland. She enjoyed bowling, crafts, cooking German food and word puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, Michael (Lori) Wright of New Palestine, a daughter, Hope (Charles) Watson of New Castle, grandchildren, Alexis (Jason) Couchman of New Castle, Larissa, Kayleigh and Rachel Wright of New Palestine, sister, Angela (Arno) Schlage of Berlin, Germany, nephew, Ingo (Bon) Schlage of Germany.
Services will be at 5:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with burial at a later date. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society for Ovarian Cancer, 5250 Vogel Rd, Suite A, Evansville, IN 47715-7814.
